“Everything is in its opposite.”

"Not Vishnu"

The Hindu god Vishnu is, among other things, a symbol of inner peace and egoless-ness, both of which are valuable pursuits.  Clearly a person with blue skin and four arms is a fictional character, and I am not a believer in the supernatural, but I value humanity’s desire to rise above the limitations of our primitive instincts. Personally I prefer the aesthetic of femaleness, so I changed the gender because it’s not important. What matters is the principles the character represents, not the form they take.

"Still-life with recycling"

Obsidian, the volcanic glass, and plastic garbage bags, are equally beautiful if you forget how they are formed and what they are used for.  It is only a matter of perception.
